In the Kitchen: Snickerdoodles

Snickerdoodles. People say they are a no-brainier cookie, but I can't seem to get them right. I'm no amateur to baking either. They always taste just fine, it's the texture that's the problem. I like cookies chewy and soft, and my snickernoodles always turn out crispy all the way through. So, if you prefer a crunchier cookie, these are for you. If you like them soft, what is your secret?
I used this recipe, but halved it. I always add extra vanilla and cinnamon, too.

I'm off to the Big Apple!
