Weekend Getaway: Oregon Coast

For a little spring break trip, Alex and I made our way to the coast. We booked a night at a hotel, scheduled treatments at the spa, and made reservations at a restaurant.
We stayed at Salishan Spa & Golf Resort, where we also made arrangements for the spa. The resort reminded me of summer camp, staying in lodge-like buildings and having main camp (the lobby) just steps away from our room. Our room was close to the main building, however the resort had many buildings that were a bit further. The service was efficient and the room was cozy with a fireplace and a balcony with a view of the bay.
We arrived to the spa early, so we could fully absorb the entire spa feel. The spa is situated on the bay where you can watch the tide lower and rise if you stay long enough (we did). We were given robes and sandals and led to our separate sides, him on the men's side and me on the women's. Each side had showers, a rain shower, a steam room, a sauna, and a spa pool. In the back, they have a coed section with a spa pool and a room with a big fire and glass walls to enjoy the view. They had plenty of water, tea, hot cider and hot chocolate. Overall, the spa was wonderful, well kept, clean and beyond.
We booked a couples massage, which we both found blissful. Neither of us had any complaints about pressure or pain; everything was to our liking, and we just melted into our separate massage tables. By the time they were over, we decided we'd enjoy moving in.
We didn't get a chance to try out the golf course, but we had to leave something for next time! Needless to say, we're planning our next trip, and Alex is now obsessed with spa life.
