Tag Habit

It's not unusual for me to leave home with a tag dangling from a new sweater. . . or any other article of clothing. It's a habit of mine to leave the tag on until I'm positive the item will be making permanent residence in my closet.

Sometimes this means neglecting to remove that little paper reminder of the item's value. Fortunately, the tag for this dress didn't make it out of my home. But I did try it on one too many times before deciding it was keeper. I bought this dress for my Rome/Paris trip last summer, but it wasn't until yesterday that I finally cut the tags. Yes, it was past its 30 or 90 day return policy, but old habits die hard.

  1. haha luckily i've never had a "is that a tag?" moment, but I do have a few dresses hanging in my closet that still have their tags hanging on. They always make me feel so guilty because I didn't have a chance to wear them yet- which clearly means I have way too much clothes ;)

    1. Marlen,
I know exactly what you mean! Every now and then I'll reach to the back of my closet and bring out something I've never worn or haven't worn in a while. It's great for making something old feel new again.
