3 Fall Favorites

Since I live in Southern California where no leaves change colors in the fall and no white snow flakes fall in the winter, I try to do a few things every season that make me believe the season has actually transitioned. So here are a few things that have inspired fall feelings around my home.
These apple cider ginger snap cookies will make my kitchen smell heavenly when guests arrive this weekend. They came out soft and spicy with the perfect touch of sugar crunch around the outside. I used all purpose flour. I even froze some to make when I get a craving!

We found this fun squash at Trader Joe's yesterday, and I'm obsessed. This table sits by our front door and the green and white squash, along with my little black pumpkin, adds the perfect fall touch!

Another fun find at Trader Joe's: this Pumpkin Spice Chai Tea Latte Mix! Following the directions makes this chai a little too sweet, so I mix half a scoop with a mug full of hot milk and add a splash of vanilla syrup.

What's inspiring you this fall?

XX,
S. Roderick

  2. Woo SoCal fall! The leaves change color...when they die. Other than that all the palm trees are green as can be. I haven't tried that chai mix from Trader Joe's but I must. Yum yum. :] // itsCarmen.com ☼ ☯

    1. Trader Joe's is stalked with all kinds of pumpkin and fall goodies right now, too! So we can at least pretend it feels like fall!
