Autumn Celebration

Yesterday I invited my friends over for a little autumn celebration. I enjoy celebrating the seasons with hosting festive events, especially when the weather still thinks it's summer (Friday I laid out at the beach). I have to do something to trick myself into feeling like its fall!

Being a Sunday evening, I kept the get-together simple with an easy sangria and store-bought goodies. By the way, have I ever mentioned that I'm a bit of a packaging nerd? I'm that person who tries a new product just because of the design. So it should come as no surprise that Izze beverages and Angie's popcorn were my choices for adding some color and clever design to our table.

Just look at that packaging. And the bags just scream fall sitting in that basket.

I've found so many uses for this Ikea cake stand. I just love it as a covered candy platter leading up to Halloween.

I also whipped up a quick sangria for a little adult fun. I used three different kinds of oranges to add some variety and a spectrum of color.

I got the Izze Sparkling Juices in two flavors: clementine and pomegranate. Perfectly appropriate for autumn, and delicious to everyone.

No autumn celebration is complete without caramel apples! I served them similar to a caramel fondue with sliced apples and all of the fixings like nuts, sprinkles and toffee.

What are you doing to celebrate fall?

S. Roderick
