Cocktail of the Month: Apple Cinnamon Cocktail

Looking back to the weekend after Halloween in 2012, you could find me picking apples and making cider at a home on Orcas Island in Washington. Orcas Island must be one of my favorite places to have experienced in the fall. Even though it poured for the entire apple pressing process, it's such a wonderful memory.

The air cool and the wind was crisp. We were freezing, but everything was so lush and green. For me, it was a weekend away from school spent with my sister. Ironically, this same weekend happened to be the first time I tried Fireball Whiskey. My Orcas Island fall memory inspired this month's Apple Cinnamon Cocktail.

2 cups apple juice or cider
1/4 cup of POM juice
2 ounces of cinnamon whiskey like Fireball
Ginger beer to top off
ice

In a cocktail shaker, mix the juices and whiskey. Pour over ice into glasses and top off with the ginger beer.
