When my sister was in town a few weeks ago we bought bottles of wine to taste for her wedding. After she left, I had to find a way to use up the hardly sipped bottles. Ice cubes, vinegar and this syrup were a couple of the solutions to the dilemma.
I used a blend of 3 wines and followed this recipe. It's delicious on ice cream, preferably vanilla, but I'm sure there are many other delightful uses for this sweet syrup. Alex and I may top our peach cobbler with it come Thanksgiving!
