Cocktail of the Month: Rosé Punch
Our heat wave a few weeks ago launched me into rosé season a little early. So last week I decided to whip up a rosé punch. During a couple of evenings last week I sat outside in the backyard with my book and rosé. Keep in mind this was after I got off work at five, but the sun was still up and the weather was wonderful. It was the best way possible to unwind after hours of being inside staring at a screen.
I wanted to keep the color pink so I used white grape juice, but it did end up being on the sweeter side, so try out grapefruit juice if you prefer less than sweet drinks.
1 cup of fresh or frozen berries
1 bottle of juice (I used white grape juice)
1 bottle of rosé (I used this one)
Put you fruit in the bottom of a pitcher and pour your juice on top. Follow it with your bottle of rosé and stir. Put in the fridge to chill, or if your rosé and juice were already chilled you can enjoy immediately with a splash (or more) of champagne.
I used frozen berries to cool my punch without watering it down. I also used more than a splash of champagne because it worked well at balancing out the sweetness of the juice.
