Five Favorite Websites
I've been subscribed to the Skimm for more than a year now, and I love it just as much as the first time I opened it. For those of you who aren't familiar, it's a daily newsletter that highlights news stories, but shares them in a lighter tone. Everyone I've recommended the Skimm to has loved it, and it's gotten better over time. Keep an eye out for the book reviews!
I first saw the Bouqs on Shark Tank while I was in college. The founders simplified the flower buying/deliver process by offering beautifully curated bouquets for flat rates of $40, $50 or $70, delivery included. The flowers are also super fresh and responsibly grown. If you love them you can get a subscription!
My new favorite travel website! The featured hotels are typically chic, modern hotels; different from your average joe hotels. They also share special deals through the website and newsletter. Warning, the newsletter gives me major wanderlust.
Ebates is a website that gives you money back on your online purchases. The company has an agreement with certain stores, so as long as you use Ebates as a referral website it tracks your purchase to give you money back quarterly. I've tried many similar websites, but I always go back to Ebates
Since I've been spending so much time applying for jobs over the past few months, Glassdoor has been incredibly beneficial. My favorite function of the website is how actual employees can rate the companies and offer real feedback about company cultures. Unfortunately it only works for large companies. I got a job at a smaller company, and their is no available feedback.
