I'm not big on Halloween. . . Well, I'm not big on the dressing up part of it. I'd rather be home passing out candy or watching a Halloween movie. So this year I decided to spend the day apple picking. I've actually done this once before on Halloween only on Orcas Island a few years back. It might have to be a new tradition.
Unfortunately this time around the trees were pretty bare, but we walked through the orchards, pressed some cider and enjoyed hoe cakes. It was such a lovely way to spend the day, and we took in some gorgeous views of the mountains. I was mostly excited because it gave me an excuse to wear one of my new sweaters because the air near the mountains is so much crisper and cooler than by the beach. For the first time this season, it actually felt like fall!

It sounds like we had similar Halloweens this year :) I went to Apple Hill during the day with a group of friends and then we all went back to my house to pass out candy and watch movies. I'm hoping to make it a tradition too!
